I've been working on all my chars armor, and ele/monk was easy because it was all survivor/vigor runes but with a necro I got rather confused.

Since necros sac so much, 600+ hp probably wouldn't be a good thing so should I use more attunements/radiants?

I was wondering what you guys use<3

Depends on what you're gonna do. I can only comment on what I have done and that's to go with Radiant/Attunement. My HP is only 436 and my energy is 59 but I'm very resourceful when it comes to not dying, lol. But then again, I am running a Sup Rune on. Just my 2 cents.

steer clear of sacrifice skills unless you are running a support build that's no where near the action. imo, they are not worth it with the crap self healing skills available to the necromancer.

I use 2 sup runes, curse and soul reaping. I use signet of lost souls and parasitic bond for health and +20 health on my off hand. Plus I kite a lot. PVE only here though, I don't know what is considered best for a PVP Necro.

as has been said, it totally depends on what you're doing. in general PvE, you can get away with running Attunement/Radiants and 2 sup runes and things like that. i hardly ever use sacrificial skills, as most of the time, they're not worth it. i have ca. 600 health on my necro, with around 42 energy, and i'm fine with it. it's totally personal preference and where you're playing. in PvP (i assume this isn't really about PvP, but just in case) most necros run with minor runes and survivor / vitae.

For curses, since I'm not saccing too much I assumed I'd just go with the usual hp.

I have three sets.

For Curses I run mostly Survivor+Vitae to compensate for the Superior Curse rune.

For Blood, especially if I sacrifice a lot, I take a full radiant armor. It is also useful if you need a higher energy ceiling to profit from Soul Reaping, but I usually take my high energy set for that.

For MMing, I have a MM Insignia set, but sometimes use Radiant Insignia as well. I try to keep up Dark Bond, but MM Insignia work well all the time, even if Bond gets stripped.

For a MM, you'll want one Bloodstained insignia on your hands or feet, and the rest as either MM or Tormentors.

MM Armor gets to a slightly higher AL with 5 minions or more, but Tormentors works right away.

Rune-wise you want a Sup Death, of course. You can usually run a Sup SR as well. The second Sup rune gives you more energy and less pain from sacrificing, but necessitates keeping Dark Bond up all the time. I run a Sup Vigor with these, because I'm not suicidal, giving me 380hp.

I have been considering replacing the Sup Vigor with a Vitae rune, or removing it entirely...but the only real benefit would be to make Order of Undeath less costly. Not sure that's worth the loss of hp, 380 is pretty flimsey anyway.

So, in total:

1 Bloodstained (hands or feet only)
4 MM or Tormentor's Insignias
1 Sup Death
1 Sup SR (or a minor SR if you don't want two Sups)
1 Sup Vigor
1 Minor Blood

1 slot free (I use a Minor Curses)

The only time i run Sup runes for my necro is if im MMing, or running a BiP build. Rest of the time i use minors. Losing 75hp for a extra 2 seconds on a hex or 4 damage isn't worth it imo.
I usually go with radiant insignias, and a blood stain insignia when i run a MM build.

I think it would balance out in the long run. An extra 2 seconds on a hex or 4 damage would make a battle just as often as your having an extra 75 hp just as not having the extra dmg or extra health would break one.

I generally just use Tormentor's. Necros have pretty good E-management as it is, and I don't run Survivor's because most of my builds have at least one sac skill unless I'm cursing.

Because I'm cheap and don't play enough to reap huge piles of cash all the time, I usually have a Soul Reaping rune on my chest/legs/feet/arms (necros always benefit from it) and swap Scar Patterns depending on what build I'm running.

Radiant sigs on chest and leggings, topped it up with attunements and a vigor rune I got from a drop.. then I got a Scar Pattern with sup death for minion build. I have a blood scar pattern for a blood build.. and the rest you get the idea.

blood staind a MUST if a MM or pooler, also on chest you need the one that reduces holy damage by6, tormentors maybe ? but you need that, if not many dervs will eat your lunchin no time, and even a monk.

I run sup on head, and have 4 heads one for each class.

I'm sorry but tormentor's insignia increases holy damage. It does not decrease it.
